Programme rules

Short and fair. Breaking them means the sales concerned aren’t paid and the account can be closed.

Label it as an ad. Any post, video or page with your link must be clearly marked as advertising, with “Ad” or “#ad” at the start where people see it before they engage. Writing only “affiliate”, or hiding the label at the end or among hashtags, isn’t enough (ASA and CMA guidance). This applies to review copies too.
Be honest. Describe the books truthfully. No fake reviews, no made-up results, no pretending to be BookTheShop.
No spam. Don’t send unrequested emails or messages, or post your link where it isn’t welcome.
No brand ads. Don’t bid on “BookTheShop” (or misspellings) in Google or other paid search.
No self-buying. Orders from your own account or email address, and orders that are refunded or charged back, earn nothing.
Tracking. The last partner link clicked within 30 days of an order gets the sale. Our records decide what’s credited.
What counts. Commission is 20% of what the customer paid for the order, after discounts. Refunded, charged-back, test and free orders earn nothing; a partial refund reduces it.
Payment. Sales wait 30 days, then are paid by PayPal once you have £20.00 or more ready. You’re responsible for any tax on what you earn.
Changes and ending. We may change the rate or these rules with 30 days’ notice by email; sales already made keep the rate they were made at. Either of us can end the partnership at any time. Approved earnings are still paid, unless they come from breaking these rules.
